I have been to COMO Taperia several times. The bartender was really nice. However, I 'm sorry to say the quality is not as good as it used to be. The taste of the ensaladilla was not fresh at all. The anchovies were really tiny and despite this, they continue to put the same amount and instead of bread they put some weird crackers (Spanish?? . According to the happy hour rules, with each drink, they put a tapa. It isn 't true. With the last drink, there was no tapa despite the time being 4:55 pm. I was accompanied by an elderly person and I asked for a high chair ONLY for her (the high chairs on the other side of the bar weren 't even occupied when we left . They didn 't even consider the option because we were at the bar at happy hour. I understand that this is not Spain but if you announce COMO Taperia as a Spanish bar it would be interesting to experience the Spanish style as much as you can, especially considering the prices you charge. Unfortunate details make the difference between returning or not and spreading the word or not. The overall feeling was one of stinginess. I guess people who have not been to Spain might find it to be good but we found it quite disappointing. Sad.
I mean, wow, wow, wowwwww!!! The anchovy olives, patatas bravas, pork, seared chicken, the desserts.... so many must-haves. If you in Raincouver, this is a must
This place is absolutely incredible. I could have given them 4 Michelin stars if I could. Four of us dined here and none of us could decide what was the best thing on the menu! Had the tuna, the pork, the chicken, octopus, patatas bravas the best ever, not oily at all), the olives were amazing, everything was just unbelievably delicious! Mark was wonderful, attentive and sweet!
I've gone by this place so many times and never thought to look inside because the blinds are always turned! It's a vibe in there, for sure but space is tight so I recommend getting a reso.Food was served tapas (small plates) style and was absolutely fresh delicious. The pork neck was my favourite. Second favourite was the eggplant which was seasoned nicely. The octopus was also cooked to perfection. We were only 2 people so we got full fast. I recommend bringing friends and going as a group of 3 or 4 to try more things and more seafood.
