He's eaten here before but I hadn't, it's cute and the decor is amusing, looking at all the motorcycles on the ceiling. It's also small so if you blink you might miss it. The food was good and plentiful and I feel decently priced. I had the Eggs Benedict and the boy had the Rancheros and a waffle. The Benny was good though I should have asked for soft poached as the eggs were almost cooked through and the best part of a Benny is runny eggs oozing over the English muffin. The Rancheros was huge and filled my guy up. The waffle was simple and tasty but a wee bit overpriced at seven dollars. I always feel like there should be an option to add a waffle/short stack for a lesser price if you're tacking it on to another meal but people have to pay the bills somehow! The home fries were really nice and crispy, my favourite part of the meal! The service was fantastic though, very attentive and I love that grandma is there overseeing everything. We don't go out for breakfast often but we will be back here in the future!
Blue Moon Flying Swan Cafe is located on 4th Ave between Granville and Burrard Street. It is owned by a pair of old couple whom lost their daughter in 2005. They currently open 7 days a week for lunch and breakfast only. <br/ <br/ You could experience home-cooking in a cozy and friendly small cafe. We say they have the best pancakes in Vancouver. We never get disappointed on their banana and/or blueberry pancakes. <br/ <br/ Their classic breakfast (Big Plate) is unbeatable with eggs, bacons, sausages, homemade potatoes, toasts, juice and coffee. Great price! Great food!<br/ <br/ Services: 4.5/5<br/ Food: 5/5<br/ Special Features: Banana/Blueberry Pancakes, classic breakfast
This is a hole in the wall cafe that is open for breakfast and lunch. Food is great, portions are large and everything is made from scratch.....teriyaki sauce, hollandaise etc. Staff is friendly as are the prices.
Tried this place for breakfast. It's run by an elderly Chinese couple who have been there since the place opened. Small place with a nice small town café feel. Food is basic eggs, bacon, sausage, omelettes, bennies, pancakes, etc. served with toast and pan fries. I had the blueberry pancakes and my friend had the eggs. We both enjoyed our selections. Coffee was good. The café has a motorcycle theme; the daughter had started a women's motorbike group and it seems to be a regular meeting place for them. We were there early in the morning; so there wasn't much of a crowd; so we got to chat with our server who was telling us about her family. It seems like a nice place to come back to for good home cooking. They do lunch as well and serve burgers as well as Chinese food. Will have to come back and try the Chinese food; there seems to be quite a selection.
Came here by coincidence and were really surprised. The service was perfect and we loved the Chinese meals. We had the rice bowl and fried noodles both freshly cooked.
