I expected carts, but it was from the menu to order as my friend said, she likes that this better portion is fresh and hot. We went for a B'day brunch (5 of us) and we ate and ate, even ordered a dessert. Now we have definitely ordered too much and 3 of us packed the left! $179 before the tip.
Fortune city seafood is always a reliable cantonese restaurant. we have visited them for many years, whether it be for a dim sum, lunch, dinner or delivery, they are always fast, fresh and reasonable. some of our favourite dishes include their salt and pepper pots, their sauce...Shrimp with ei, ingwer green wobbles hot bark, house special steaming, house special chow mien and so much more. it is hard to avoid Chinese restaurants with msg, and I think they do a good balance of it. while I have nothing against msg, I find some restaurants that use it to hide the inferior quality of their ingredients. not the fall with luck city seafood. service is very typical of Chinese restaurants, they need to get a server attention if they want something, but they make the effort to offer special touches. once we ordered too many dishes and our table was curved after they demanded for a bigger table, they helped us move all our cutlery and crooked. they will also ask if they want the curtains at the bottom of the evening if the sun can be in their eyes. they also began to make during the covid favored dishes. they are now $18/dish, and they are great if they don't want to eat dinner, but still feed a family. or if they want o only add a few extra dishes to their meal. a great place to go for Chinese food and we have enjoyed our experience so far!
Wasn't here for a few years. It was as good as before. Shrimp spring rolls were delicious like the Shui Mai and shrimp dumplings. Rice rolls with beef and beet cake tasted better than other places we go to. Steamed pig balls were fluffy. My son and friend said the ribs were good. The eggplants with shrimps were great, I tried for the first time. Calamari was tender. The service was fast. Will return.
My friend invited his family and close friends (30-36) after the funeral for his mother for dinner to Fortune City. Very good and authentic South China and seafood dishes. The dishes were brought in fast sequence in each of the 3 tables. Everything was...delicious: White Mushroom/Crabic Meat Soup, Honey and Garlic Pork Ribs, Fried Rice, Steamed Broccoli and Shrimp, Crispy Skin Roast Chicken, Steamed Halbut on a bed of Tofu, Stir Fried Dungeness Crab, Stir Fried Shrimp, Chinese Broccoli, Chow Mein, Pea Tips. The servers were friendly enough and have changed our plates and bowls to make room for the new dishes. Many free parking on the level below the restaurant.
Very unique atmosphere! The shrimp dumplings were great, the shrimp with eggplant was also great, plus the peppered squid, the beef and noodles plus the rice which was wrapped in lotus leave. The only thing that was not very good was the beef balls, had...a weird taste and did not like the texture. The pork shi mai was great as well.
