India Bistro - Vancouver

We have an Indian friend here. Eating was acceptable, but the entire experience felt a bit touristy and staged. I wouldn't go back. there are probably other better options for Indian cuisine.

Before the Covid , this restaurant offer the best cheap Buffet lunch in the neighbourhood , I heard it though the gapevine , they change new management in 2020 , dropped in for quiet lunch , only few patron , so quiet atmosphere , price reasonable , menu not too over size , I order the Curry Lamb shahi korma with large portion Pulao rice , I am planning eat half here and half for dinner to night , curry very flavourful , not much of meat in the dish ,, but well balance of ingredients and spicy , service very slow , staff (Owner not friendly at all , I am happy I got my curry lamb , for sure I would not be back , there is so many restaurants in the area .

My go to neighbourhood Indian restaurant. Decent portions and not expensive. Delivery options always a plus in my books.

I ordered for pick up using the Uber eats app. I arrived to pick up the food at the specified time and India bistro claim they did not receive the order. They started prepping my order on arrival, so I waited another 20 min until my food was finished being prepared. At home, the eggplant dish is inedible. Tasted like metal. The paneer sauce was good, but the paneer itself was rubbery. The butter chicken was scant 6 small, toonie sized, pieces of chicken only! and tasted off, maybe old?! The Dahl and naan were tasty. I’ve ordered from here many times, at least twice/month, and it is usually delicious. I usually call in my order and have no problems. Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed this time :

We came in late around 9pm and basically had the restaurant to ourselves. We ordered the Chicken Marsala (extra hot) rice and Garlic Nanbread. All of the food was delicious but after delivery we were ignored. I got up and poured myself some more ice water and my friend cleared the dishes and brought them to the back. Not happy about that!!
