I didn't like the service and the food was terrible. the Pho was rotten and was not served well. I think I'll never go back
I think this is just known as Japalo 3. The menu was completely Vietnamese with no sushi in sight. A beautiful atmosphere, typical of the smaller restaurants around West Broadway and McDonald. Pretty cheap with a few vegetarian articles. The vegetarian banh mi was good. For those of us spinning after the Durian, there was a durian smoothie under a rather eclectic list. Typical Vietnamese coffee is offered. This is not a gourmet innovative Vietnamese cuisine, but it is a good reason to find Vietnamese cuisine and is a treat on Vancouver's west side.
Visits with friends on holiday to Vancouver. Tasting Pho at good prices. Could perhaps do with more options for vegetarians, but the noodle dishes we had were very good and I would recommend it.
This place isn't much to look at, but the service is good and the pho is delicious! Lovely broth, plenty of the goodness inside, plus the side plate of fresh Thai basil and bean sprouts to add, if desired. Also a slice of lime to squeeze over it. Small bowl was plenty for one person, and two could share if ordering other items. Banh mi sandwiches are good, too, although I've only had the lemongrass chicken. Japolo always seems quite busy when I'm in there, lots of customers happily downing big bowls of steaming pho, so stop in if you're in the Broadway and Macdonald area.
