In the area for a couple of days and went to this place for a coffee. Easy to locate and seem to be in an area where the community is sharing responsibilities and trying to make things better. The service was good and the waitresses were nice. The foods was good as well as coffee. Found the $$$ to be a little on the high side but tolerable. I would recommend that you try this place, it's a great experience.
This is definitely a hidden gem that is slightly off the main path driven by it's well deserved reputation for great food. The atmosphere is very French laid back, there is limited seating outside only and many customers pickup food to eat elsewhere. I was there with my Wife and Daughter for lunch, we each chose a quiche which came with a delicious kale salad which had a grating of parmesan and a vinaigrette salad to give it some bite, no pun intended. I had the roasted red pepper and goat cheese quiche as did my Daughter while my Wife chose the smoked salmon quiche and having heard the reputation for fantastic croissants especially the almond croissant we each bought one to enjoy later. Great food at a reasonable price.
Went to see what the hype was about this place in Fraserhood. Room was small, crowded and full of junk. Only counter service. Coffee was okay but nearby is Bows and Arrows if you are looking for good coffee.Had crepes. Much too thick. A place called Marche St. Georges should know better.A friend tells me that it is a good place to buy Earnest Ice Cream by the pint on a sunny day when you can't get near Earnest's on Fraser
The small, lovingly decorated caffe serves homemade breakfast. we stayed close and fortunately we hit the caffe on the first day. the dishes are lovingly prepared, the portions are sufficient to be filled. the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. we passed to the brekki every day and tried the card up and down. they were chocolate croissants, granola and crepes.
