This is small, almost hole in the wall Asian noodle restaurant in a very residential part of Upper Kitsilano, albeit only 7 blocks to the bustle of Broadway.. The location is a surprise and on the couple of occasions that I have been, there were very few customers. Having said that, the single person waiter cum cook is friendly and attentive, the noodles are surprisingly good and cooked while you wait, the large portions are huge, and there is a lot of choice in alcohol. Nursing a beer while your noodles cook is probably a good idea. If you're already in the neighbourhood it is a surprisingly good choice for lunch.
We shared a large pork claypot, the cabbage appie and a pot of green tea. It was delicious. The home made noodles were glorious. For only $30 we both felt stuffed. After a stressful day, the whole experience felt good for the soul.
Love it here. Everything is freshly made and house made. Vegan friendly. Worth the visit. I always order the veg dumpling.
This cozy restaurant features hand made and stretched noodles from a recipe in Hunan province. The noodle with veggies, fish, seafood, chicken, pork or beef are served in a soup, or fried or hot pot. Their version of potstickers were great. Topped it off with a cold Chinese beer. Worth a visit and put it on your list of places with good quick bites.
