Norboo Korean Restaurant - Vancouver

I was horrified, shocked, and appalled that this restaurant is still up and running. I am a Korean and I can say with confidence that this is not standard Korean food. This restaurant is an embarrassment to Koreans. We ordered the boo-dae-ji-gae (sausage soup), Al-tang (fish egg soup), Al-bap (fish egg rice), and hae-mul-jun-gol (seafood pot). All of them tasted terrible. There was one huge crab shell with no meat inside that took more than half the space of the seafood pot. There was no fish or oysters like that promised in the menu. The Al-tang had 3 small pieces of fish egg pieces and that was it. My family was super upset and were shaking our heads the entire dinner time. DO NOT GO!

I was hoping that I will find better if not equally good Korean food in Vancouver. Maybe this wasn't the good place to judge on, but boy was I wrong...Very slow service, dirty tables, staff is beyond relaxed and uninterested.All of that I can let go, if the food is good. Unfortunately, it wasn't. We ordered a seafood hot pot with HOME MADE noodles. Broth was just a flavored water, the "seafood" was represented by two pieces of shrimp (that obviously died of natural causes), one piece of squid (grey from embarrassment) and some unidentified fish.It tasted like noodles in a cup you buy at the local grocer for 0.89 cents..I'm definitely not coming back, and highly recommend others to follow my suit.

I popped in for dinner and not sure why the negative reviews, but the food was delicious, the service was great! I felt like I was invited to a Korean home for dinner. I had Kimchi Pancake and Galbi!! Will definitely eat here again!

Este restaurante sirve comida koreana en un ambiente familiar, sin muchas pretensiones en la decoración pero eso sí, con mucho sabor. El personal es amable y lo frecuentan asiáticos. Buena experiencia. ¡Cuidado! Si dice picoso es porque ¡realmente pica!

Ox tail soup is very good. However, the house special crab dish was quite disappointing. The crab was over cooked. The meat was tough and there wasn't much of it.
