Little place. mature woman server and unhappy to serve a customer. sushi chef is pleasant and friendly greetings. food was frozen, thawed, served and you can taste the process. most things advertised on the wall was out-of-season. chef did his best with what he had to work with. average experience.
This is the basic sushi joint. They do some pretty good basic rolls, upon with salmon and tuna, miso, and.... SERVICE was good and attentive.
Awful. My family stumble upon this place while driving toward the beach. The kids want sushi and we decide to try. All I can say is, the place is very dated. I can make better sushi than what I order. Not worth the money and time.
This is one of those places where you wonder what changed since the original recommendation.Ordered Himachi and Toro sashimi, Philadelphia Roll, and a Volcano Roll (I think... didn't place the order on this one).A review declared this to be place where you can get Tojo quality product, at a more reasonable price. I place a takeout order one night, in hopes that we would get free delivery to the hotel (I was lazy.. sue me). The response was that it would be at least an hour before they could come... good sign, right? It means they were busy.Well I ended up picking up my order as I wanted to see the place for myself. A bit run down looking, but I'm of the mentality everyone starts out in a rather dumpy looking place before making it big time.Builds character, as they say.The actual sashimi was quite good - slightly more expensive than Toshi, but equally large in terms of size and of good quality. The rolls though.. man. The rolls had quite the large amount of rice on them. Furthermore, it was either a bad night, or they don't make it a thing to actually season their rice.Needless to say, eating the rolls was akin to eating a blob of flavourless white rice with bits of fish on it. At least the temperature of the rice was right - not refrigerated or fresh out of the pot.Unless things change, I think one would be wise to purchase their sashimi offerings, but avoid the rolls and rice laden items... though MAYBE their Chirashi might be worthwhile.
