Despite the beautiful appearance of the city, the reality of East Van includes needles, questionable individuals, and confrontations. If you are able to navigate through these challenges, you will be able to enjoy the wine at the winery.
What a fantastic winery! It's great to see an urban winery right in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The Lambrusco they offer is incredibly delicious. Definitely worth a visit, and be sure to try the delicious cuisine at their restaurant, Belgard.
I revisited City Winery during my trip to Vancouver and it was just as good as the first time. I visited in the afternoon and got to try the amazing tomato soup. There was a good amount of space between tables, the staff was friendly, and the place was very clean. My only criticism, now that I am a sommelier unlike my first visit, is that it would be nice to have a luxury or ultra-premium tasting flight option. The current premium options are limited to BC wines without breaking the budget. I understand it may not be possible, but who knows? This is just a minor nitpick, but overall I love the concept and would definitely return 100%! The service was top-notch.
Every time I go to Vancouver Urban Winery, I get stellar everything: atmosphere, food, drinks, service. Everything is always reliable perfect!
I went to Vancouver Urban Winery the other day and had another very nice experience. We went at 1pm when the lunch crowd had gone. It was peaceful, a beautiful setting, cool decor, and wonderful food. Our server was slow in returning to our table...to ask if we wanted anything else, but overall she was very friendly.
