Contribuisci feedbackLooking for a fancy night out within “Parq”, your destination has to be “The Victor”. To reach it, you cross the roof top deck of “The Douglas”. And are treated to the view of the city in the distance. All this as you stroll and watch the lights of BC place dancing, and the twinkling of the tiny bulbs illuminating the roof top garden of Douglas firs and rippling water.
Beautiful Atmosphere. Location of the restaurant hotel right outside BC place as it glows purple. We came here for dine out and had a lovely time. Bob, our server, was very friendly, efficient and informative. Food was prepared well and portions were a decent size. Steak was prepared very well. Bread that they serve is yummy. Felt the Toffee bread pudding tasted more orange than Toffee. Parking at the hotel is $25.00 and is not validated.
Prime rib was so-so, rib eye was fantastic. Prime rib was dense and a bit chewy, rib eye was very tender. Shrimp tempura not the traditional style, but it is very flavorful and crispy. Reminds me of popcorn shrimp style dish. Crab cake was really good, however, the sauce is a bit too strong and it took away some of the crab flavor. Would definitely recommend eating the crab cake by itself without the sauce.
Venue: Lively, fun, nice decor, moderate lighting. Staff: Superb, attentive, timed their approaches well, friendly. Food: Fairly decent. The lobster bisque was rich and creamy. The tartare was so good I wanted more. The steak was tender and cooked to my liking (medium rare). The desserts weren’t overly sweet which I enjoyed. Drinks: Stiff and made right. Enjoyed the experience. It’s a restaurant that I’ve been to before and have returned to on occasion.
Great steak restaurant!! Easily rivals any top notch steakhouses in Vancouver and I've been to all of them (Gotham, Hy's, Atlas, Elisa etc. . Had Thomas as our waiter who was extremely personable and attentive. Its always nice when you don't have to ask for refills of your drinks and comes around just enough to check on you but not hovering. I also noticed and appreciated the manager who came over to say hello and offer something like juice to our little one. Ambience is very nice. Roomy enough, tables were well spaced out so you didn't feel crowded and wasn't too loud. Ordered the rib cap steak as well as the cowboy steak. Both were delicious! Onion rings were only okay unfortunately as the batter did not stick to the onion so it was bit of a mess eating them. Appreciated the birthday dessert at the end! Would recommend and come back!
