This restaurant sits inside Holiday Inn in downtown Vancouver. The food is satisfactory at affordable price. It is not a busy Sunday night, therefore, we get our meal fairly quickly. Beside, the service is very attentive too.
The server LEO made it all worthwhile w his gr8 attitude care! He made sure, I had everything recommended a new menu item: A delicious Brussels Sprout salad! I wld return only 2 hv the lovely, caring service of Leo! The eatery was calm quiet, a gr8 refuge on a Saturday night.
In a Holiday Inn? Hotel in case you’re trying to find it. Service was attentive and burger hit the spot.
For the main course, I had the AA beef medallions, which had been marinated in Cabernet Merlot for 24 hours and grilled, accompanied by fresh spinach potato buttons, crispy asparagus, and an exotic tarragon mushroom sauce. My dining companion opted for the chef's special, featuring fresh Icelandic cod and West Coast mussels, served with a fennel sauce on mint lattice and seasonal vegetables. Desserts included a mixed berry tart topped with vanilla egg foam and gooseberry-mango coulis, as well as flambéed crêpes Suzette prepared by the culinary team and served à la mode. The restaurant has a cozy capacity of 30 seats, featuring two long communal tables, two tables for four, one table for two, and three small booths that can accommodate two to three people. While each stall has its own tablet, it's requested not to use them to avoid disturbing other guests. The atmosphere is casual, so there's no need to dress up. Additionally, they don’t pressure you to order alcohol if you prefer hot water instead. Since there's only one server, patience is appreciated. Our server, Darcy, was friendly and approachable, and he welcomed some lighthearted joking. My dining companion ordered the soup, medium beef, and crêpes Suzette, while I chose the duck breast, medium-well beef, and crêpes Suzette as well. The soup featured two mussels, and there were six slices of duck breast. I had initially expected the beef medallions to be circular, but they were small rectangular pieces, which were quite tasty. The dish came with five spinach-potato dumplings and four asparagus spears. When the crêpes Suzette were brought out, the Grand Marnier was in a metal container, and Darcy poured it over the crêpes. I found the amount of alcohol to be a bit excessive, so you might want to let him know if you prefer a lighter pour. And just to note, the flambé was not done tableside. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience!
