Contribuisci feedbackThe best Japanese curry place! there is always a line that means that eating is honestly incredibly tasty. they go up from h mart they find themselves in a food business. go to food, go all the way down. the menu offers a large selection of katsu chicken other spicy joys. my recommendations - for each first timer, try the katsu don or the katsu curry.
This food store is on the back of the food dish in H-Mart in the second floor. their curry dishes are excellent! we ordered curry chicken udon, tonkatsu bento and karaage curry with rice. I personally loved the deep-fried pork snell with Curry.Pricing and part of all dishes are reasonable. I would definitely come back and try other dishes. I was wondering if they would make letter mark cards for customers. if I were a student or I worked in the same neighbourhood, I would come here for lunch or dinner. I could get letter marks to get a lot of paints here. it would be great to get a free meal if I had 10 letter marks or more. similar ideas as Danbo-Ramen. 10 letter marks (or eat 10 times) and get a free cripple for the 11th time.
To be perfectly honest, I didn't even want to dine here. It was our first night in the city, and we'd passed by so many great restaurants on our way to our hotel, but this came up high on my husband's recommended places. It was raining and dark by the time we left our hotel room, so I think the fact that it was within easy walking distance was also a draw.Following the Google Maps directions, we ended up in front of an H Mart. That made me want to eat here even less. Not that I have anything against H Mart, but it's a chain - one that we have in San Diego - and as a rule, we try to steer clear of chains while traveling (because we like to experience local cuisine and such while we travel, as much as possible.)Still, as I mentioned, it was raining and dark, and we'd had a long day of work and travel, so neither of us were really in the mood to pull out our phones to find another location that was open at that hour. I wish we had.The food wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't fantastic. It was hot and filling, and I think that's about all I can say for that. This restaurant is all the way in the back of their restaurant row, so you have to walk upstairs and past all the other food establishments to get there. The menu board was gigantic, for a quick-serve curry house, and the counter top near the order window was minuscule. The girl working the counter was friendly, at least. The food (oyakudon for me, chicken katsu curry for him) came out quickly, which is always a bonus. You order at the counter, then either find a table (ours was semi-clean), or hang out to get your food to go. Water was free for customers, and served out of a pitcher that was located on the counter. You popped up to grab your food when it was ready, and you cleaned up after yourself when you were finished eating (you did if you had any manners, that is).Again, it wasn't a horrible dining experience - just not what I was looking for on our first night in Vancouver. At least it wasn't very far from the hotel, and got us in and out relatively quickly and cheaply.Plus, we were able to stroll the aisles of H Mart before heading back out into the rain, so that was nice.
This is a hidden gem of a place in the hmart food court. Great curry reasonable prices and pretty fast too. The food court does get really busy around lunch and dinner time so it's hard to seat a big group. But if you're here at off times or have a small enough group it shouldn't be a problem. The donburi bowls are pretty good too. Highly recommended
I was looking for a cheap but tasty meal, this worked just fine. Friendly service and pretty fast getting the food prepared.
