We asked for waters and informed a third person would be joining us shortly. I also told her we would be ordering beers but needed to look at the menu first. She comes back with two waters. We ordered 2 beers and fried mushrooms and said we would wait to order our meals until our third arrived. Beer arrives 10 mins later and mushrooms took 20 mins. They were tasty, but nearly cold. Our third diner arrives and we order. Meanwhile our beers are empty for at least 15 mins when she finally stops by to ask if we need refills. We order another round. Ten mins later the beer and the food arrives. Cheesesteak (pretty much flavorless), onion rings and fries were cold. Chicken strips were very hot (even though chunks were ordered; our elusive server was no where to be seen to mention this) and the chunks were reported to be decent. All of this aside, the server appeared to be indifferent and unfriendly and pretty much disappeared in between visits to our table. When I got back in my car, I noticed it was a little after 4p. 90 mins of aggravation for $84 and a $9 tip. My son paid or there would have been no tip. Won't be back.
Great selection of beer, great food, good atmosphere. If only they had the staff to offer quicker service. I sometimes wait 15 or 20 minutes before I can order a drink refill at the table. Also, while the food is usually excellent, there are often times it’s not. I was actually told by the cook himself that the reason the bbq beef sandwich I ordered was dry and had no bbq was because the beef soaked it all up.
Not the place it was years ago. Service at this point has declined, but could be standard staffing issues many places face right now. The food quality has gone down as well. The chili was just poorly made. Sandwiches not magestic anymore. And the wings just no longer something to come here for as the wing quality has declined and sauces no longer memorable. Not sure what happened to what was a solid 4 star hang out and food place. It's now a 1 or 2 star place to not eat and to not hang out. Even the table set up and cleanliness is at a point of disaster.
This is one of the finest spots around the Northern Montgomery County. Have never had a bad meal….ever! The Bunker Burger is one of the best…and still reasonably priced. The pork tenderloin sandwich is a real bargain…get it fried!! My favorite! The chicken wings and chunks are the best. And the beer selection is massive.
The food was great! Only downside was it was a large group, very large. We were supposed to have a private party. Did not work out that way. Pretty good service. This was for our Christmas party at work. Being as the Food was great, I see why they are always busy. There is a large bar there also.
