This was one of the highlights of our recent six week tour of France (during which we are lunch out most days!). Not haute cuisine but good honest local cooking. Very good food and very friendly service - but be prepared to mix it with the locals. It's the sort of place the UK needs in spades. The decor is motor-sport orientated and the area is great for walking and cycling along the Canal de Bourgogne. In fact, what a great place for lunch as you cycle past!

There's no recommendations here for specific dishes, its all good! A simple structure with 4 courses and a choice of 2 dishes for each.All home cooked, simple fare done very well, you just can't beat it on value and good quality home cooking, little wonder it's near full most days as all the local tradesmen for miles around know it. 14.50 for the four courses, add another 7 if you want a bottle of the very drinkable house red and another 2 euros if you want coffee. A genuine local French establishment that's as honest as the summer days are long.
