Mcdonald's - Vassar

On Thursday, August 11, my partner and I stopped at the Vassar McDonald's for a milkshake, as it's our usual pit stop while traveling from Traverse City to visit family downstate. He ordered a chocolate shake, and I got a caramel wrap. As we continued on M15, he took a sip of his shake, placed it in the truck's cup holder, and mentioned that it tasted burnt. I tried some, and it had an unpleasant chemical taste that I found very off-putting. I advised him not to finish it, as it could potentially make him sick. We decided to save it until the next day, planning to stop by on our way back home, but ultimately we chose to throw it away and remove this McDonald's from our list of go-to spots. We've been visiting this location for 14 years without any issues prior to this experience, which was quite disappointing.

It’s just another McDonald's experience. The food was fresh, and the staff were polite, but the tables were not cleaned properly and the bathrooms had an unpleasant odor. Overall, I would rate it as follows: Food: 4, Service: 3, Atmosphere: 3.
