Elissar - Vaudreuil-Dorion

Was in Hudson for the day and we decided to stop by this restaurant as we heard great reviews and was not too far from where we were at the time. Walking in we were greeted immediately by Marcella Who seated us immediately. As it was early in the evening around PM there was only one other couple there. After some time more people showed up in the restaurant but was not over crowded. Marcella greeted us immediately with the menu and she had asked should we have any questions about the menu when she comes back she would be more than helpful to explain. Upon her return we decided to order a glass of sangria each and we were not disappointed. After looking over the menu we decided to start with the grilled garlic shrimp since they did not have any Calmar available that evening unfortunately. There after we decided on the mixed grill plates for each of us. The service was great overall however they had issues in the kitchen this evening and the food took quite a bit of time to come out thankfully we were not in a rush. Once the appetizer arrivedWe quickly dove into it and we’re very happy with her choice. We ended up with shrimp in the delicious garlic sauce we polished it off nothing left not even the sauce lol. minutes or so later we finally got our main meals which had a mix of Kafta, shish taouk and filet mignon brochettes with side of garlic potatoes and fresh spring salad and a spicy grilled pita with hot pepper paste inside. Great big portion and we had enough for take away for another meal the next day. Well worth the money that’s for sure. Overall great food good atmosphere and customer service by Marcela. Will definitely return for another meal

The food was so good you could cry. It was made with love and every bite was exquisite. The service was top notch and we had an incredible time.

Glad we tried Elissar ! We tried a variety of their appetizers, Mouhammara purée of red peppers nuts Baba Ghannouch, bake/slightly smoked eggplant purée Hommos BiLahme, hommos with fried minced meat They were all very good... being that we were only two, we shared a Mix grill which was served with twice fried garlic potatoes , rice the Elissar fattouch salade. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked as was the chicken, the Kafta, minced meat Kebob was tasty. The side were great but I was pleasantly surprised with the fattouch, they have a different sauce which we really liked. We had a few cold Beruit beers which went very well with this delicious meal. We tried a very good dessert It was crispy sweet noodle like on the bottom with a creamy topping sprinkled with pistachios we asked for the sauce(simple sirop with rose water) on the side. This is a family restaurant we felt like guests in their home. Friendly service from the father son...

It is always a great experience to dine at Elissar. The staff is friendly and respectful. Their pandemic protocol is impeccable. I will return.

The food was delicious as usual. We tried different foods on the menu all extremely good. Such a nice family who own this restaurant. . Definitely one of my favorite restaurants.
