I walked in with not even a clue of what they have, how to order, and what each bread is. Yes. I’m that gal who knows nothing about bread. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted kindly. Given I’m an open person, I told the gentlemen behind the cash register that “this may come off silly, but I know nothing about bread”. He helped me select the flax seed loaf that my partner ended up LOVING. We made avocado toasts with it along with a few different variations of sandwiches. I’ll be coming back for sure!
I bought 6 custard fruit danishes that looked fresh. At $3.75/ea I expected more fruit and more custard. The blueberry danish had 6 small blueberries, a thin layer of custard.and light dusting of icing sugar. The pastry tasted more like bread than pastry. I was rather disappointed having spent $20. Longos Supermarket has better danishes for half the cost.
Honoured their advertisement of free slice of Cinnabon on your birthday!
My regular stop for bread and occasional treats. This place reminds me of the corner bakery of my childhood. A pleasant shop with friendly service.
