I am a restaurant manager myself and knew with the first bite that the food was not freshly cooked and some of it was undercooked. Paneer felt like rubber when chewed. Thé management at this restaurant needs to pay a lot of attention on their food. Only having a good ambiance and name is not the only thing, having good quality food is the most important. I have been to small restaurants which were cheap and their food is on point. I am super disappointed with the food at Maharajas. Please improve guys. If you are charging so much for dishes then please give quality food to your customers that they feel valued enough to spend their hard earned money at your restaurant.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Urban Maharajas with Vaughan, and I must say, the food was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of a great Indian dining experience.
The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. I might have given a lower rating if it weren't for their warmth. Unfortunately, the service was quite slow, and the food was served cold. The rice was also undercooked, and considering the quality, the prices seemed high. Additionally, there was a loud party in the private room, which left us with a headache. On a positive note, they do offer halal food options.
I recently attended a birthday party at Urban Maharajas, and I was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was delightful, and the food was exceptional. The staff were incredibly helpful in guiding me to choose a vegan meal. My husband and his family also enjoyed both the non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes. I highly recommend Urban Maharajas for hosting small events!
Invest your resources in hiring skilled cooks rather than just enhancing outdoor features to attract customers. The malai kofta was at least somewhat edible, but it didn’t meet our expectations. We ordered dal tadka and jeera rice simply to fill our stomachs. The garlic naan was full of burnt garlic chunks, and while the mango lassi and mixed platter were the only redeeming items, they weren’t enough to save the meal. I would give one star for those two, but I believe the main course deserves a negative rating. I will say that we appreciated the little girl who served us; she provided excellent and prompt customer service, which is why I’m giving an additional star.
