Wee Blew Inn - Venice

Great breakfast, low prices. Atmosphere rustic but clean. Refreshing.

When we walked through the door, my 8 year-old thought it was an adult only restaurant (no other kids in the room). When we left, he had nothing but praise for this restaurant.

We went in there myself my four-year-old and my eight-year-old and the food was terrible. The place smelled the water smelled and the cashier was nasty and very impolite. The waitress was a nice lady, but I had to ask her for napkins and water three times. I go there again. Also it was $40 for some eggs, bacon and potatoes for myself and two young kids ridiculous

Good food prices are great and good old home cook meals and the people there are Great.

We have lived in this city since the 70’s and We blew inn has always been a favorite for our family. The one complaint we would ever have is that we burned our mouth from the food being so fresh and hot. Lately well the food is still good if you get the service to bring it to you. The last three times we have been there they have been rude and kept it no secret how they felt about us coming into the cafe at 7:40pm we got welcomed with “nothing like the stragglers showing up right before closing”, she made such a big deal out of it I asked the waitress to make sure she didn’t spit in our meal. When the waitress told her what we had said she tried to make it as though she was joking around with us. BTW they had a few more customers that came in after us that did not get the same reception as we did. The second time we went in the food was great but the server was not attentive to our needs we had to wave her down to get another order of all you can eat fish. Three strikes and you are out we went in tonight and because we know you shouldn’t go in anytime after 7:30pm we got there literally at 7:30pm we went in she handed us menus and we said no thank you we know what we want she says “sit anywhere.” We sat and waited, and waited, a couple of guys came in and said hello to one of the waitresss and gave her a hug……..all the while the “one “ waitress that was there talking to another table full of customers that had already had their dinner she proceeded to the table with the guys and take there order, a couple of women came in and sat towards the back of the restaurant, and another man that always comes in around 7:45 every Friday he got coffee and we waited. Finally the owner came and asked us if we wanted a drink and by this time we had decided we were going to eat there because it is now 7:45pm and we will feel rushed. The waitress came over and introduced herself and we just said that we weren’t interested in ordering any more because we had been sitting for 15 minutes and waiting she said “ as you can see I am the only waitress” well Grandma came to the rescue telling her that we had only been there 5 minutes………….went to pay for the soda that I didn’t drink because as we sat there the Owner grandma proceeded to bad mouth us saying that we hadn’t been there that long and I said long enough to have 3 other parties come in and get served already before us. As I payed for the drink the cashier asked how everything was and I said I am sure it was good if we ever had gotten served, and that woman proceeded to bad mouth us and saying “oh now they are up there complaining. I turned and said “yes and I am not deaf either “ I am sorry but you need to reflect on the things you say to the people that have been around this town for years we have supported you and voted you best of Venice but you are not friendly at all. Unfortunately all bragging I used to do for your place to more people than you can count will no longer happen. And rest assure that our complaints will be heard by a lot more people.
