Busy Bee Cafe - Ventura

I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. My boyfriend and I decided to stop by for some drinks after dinner, as we had always admired the place while passing by. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, so we were able to choose our seats easily. The wait staff was friendly and provided us with menus quickly. The menu was extensive, which was a plus. However, the drink I ordered was not good and was overpriced for the small portion size. My boyfriend's beer was nothing special either. We were surprised to receive a plate of mixed nuts, which signaled a table charge. The ambiance was not great - the music was too loud and the lighting was dim. After finishing our drinks, we were shocked at the high bill we received. The prices were steep for what we got. I would recommend looking for another place in the area for drinks. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

I consider myself to be an expert when it comes to country fried steak. It's more of a personal belief than a proven fact.

So here's the problem This place was awesome the few times we went.

The Busy Bee Cafe is a fantastic spot to enjoy breakfast in the morning, especially since there are not many places open during those early hours in this area.

Not enough seating for groups. Street closed in front of restaurant. must enter through.back. No parking in back. Amazing that they stay open because city closed off street. Food and service are good.
