The coffee, however, was very disappointing: I got a macchiato and the steamed milk was over-steamed and too stiff. The espresso was very weak and didn’t taste like coffee at all, despite being made from Intelligentsia beans: if you want coffee, I’d skip this place and go to Palermo, Prospect Coffee Roasters or Singing Sun instead. This is particularly disappointing because I’ve come here several times since the cafe opened (I even added the cafe to Google Maps), and it used to be a good place for espresso or a cup of coffee. The owners should invest in some barista training: it’s a great location and feel, marred by bad coffee.
Absolutely loved this place! The service, pastries and coffee! It looks like a French Cafe and it's just as good if not better!
I think this is the best bakery downtown atm. Fresh and amazing offerings. The coffee is really good. The croissants are the best....many different kinds and made fresh every morning. My faves are the walnut and pistachio. They had a new one out the day I went Raspberry...as good as it is pretty :
Great espresso, atmosphere, and pastries. The sandwiches are poetry. The bread is stunning. This place is delicate perfection. The breakfast sandwich has fluffy egg on it with a hint of nutmeg. So delicious.
So delicious! The avocado toast on slabs of awesome home made 'rustique ' bread was so good i bought a loaf: gigantic, moist, best bread i remember having. All made by the Baker there. They also have buckwheat bread. I had a pastry that was PERFECT. called koign aman , or some name like that. And good coffee! I 'm posting because it 's such a find and i want them to stay in business!
