Since when is a suggested tip of 22% appropriate for a place that doesn’t have waitstaff? And why present the percentages in descending order? I found that a bit disingenuous.
This place used to be fantastic, but I’m not sure what’s gone wrong. Both my recent visit and the one before left me disappointed with the food. We spent over $50 for two people, and I really didn’t feel it was worth it. The vegetarian chili was just average—there were way too many sliced black olives and hardly any vegetables. Plus, it was overly salty. The Caesar salad was similarly unimpressive; the lettuce didn’t seem very fresh at all. The chicken breast was completely lacking in flavor. I also noticed that while the menu listed the side of pita bread at $1.25, I was charged $2.50. I think it’s safe to say I won’t be returning. There are plenty of new dining options on Main Street that I would recommend exploring instead.
Nature's Grill may not be the most thrilling dining spot, but it does a great job catering to vegetarians and vegans with a variety of alternative proteins and substitutions, including vegan mayo. I tried the Good Karma Burger, which features a hearty tempeh patty that I found quite satisfying. While I would have preferred fries, they offer chips and salsa instead. If you're familiar with Natural Cafe in Santa Barbara and Goleta, you'll find that this restaurant has a similar vibe (they share the same owner from back in the day). They also have a nice selection of local beers on tap. Overall, I would recommend it, though some of the plant-based options might be a bit on the bland side (like a simple plate of rice and vegetables, for instance).
I've loved eating at the Nature's Grill since it opened on Main St. I have always enjoyed the menu options for vegetarian and has always brought me back because of the fresh quality of the ingredients. I have noticed a huge change lately but I havedismissing it as a sign of the time. This Friday was my breaking point. I ordered a Natural Burger and added cheese and avocado. We also ordered extra condiments for each of us which added to the total around 10 dollars more than the listed price. Once wegot our order none of the extras condiments except the avocado where there. My hamburger patty wasn't soy plus, the patty hadseveral burnt grill marks that made it taste bad, the cheese was missing, the wheat bun tasted dry and old. The worse parts werethe old avocado slices and the grilled onions that tasted like fermented or rotten. It was horrible ???? I am completely doneeating at this restaurant. I will not recommend to anyone.
Their Turkey Cobb salad is ????. Also love the Local Favorite. They make the best soups, I?ve never tried one I didn?t like! Their employees are so nice and the food is always fresh and ready on time.
