Restaurant La Belle Province - Verdun

I dined at the Atwater location and also visited the downtown location near St. Catherine Street at Peel. The Atwater location had a clean, 1950s diner vibe. However, the downtown location appeared less well-maintained and the staff were not as friendly, almost unwelcoming to those who were not well-dressed. The food at the Atwater location was fresher, while the downtown location left a stale grease taste. Prices were reasonable, making it a good spot for a quick breakfast or coffee. However, the downtown location lacked hospitality towards all diners in the area. Their signature dish, known as the Lumberjack, is a hearty breakfast with a variety of items, similar to a full English breakfast.

Food average ....I would go to La Banquise on Rachel st ...but not this place, burgers are ok fries average

The downtown location seemed a lot less well cared for and the staff were far less friendly, verging on unwelcoming to those who were less than well dressed. The prices are reasonable, and it is a decent place to grab a quick breakfast or coffee, though short on hospitality for all diners in the downtown core. Their signature dish (translated name means the "Lumberjack") is a hearty breakfast with lots of variety....what the British might call a full English breakfast.

The first restaurant I tried in Montreal was Belle Province, and I have to say, I was not impressed.

Lots of oil, but if you're feeling adventurous and willing to indulge in some unhealthy deliciousness, go for it.
