Le Saumon - Verneuil-sur-Avre

We came here for birthday dinner and it was really good. the menu has a good choice and is cheap and there is a good choice on the a la carte. the food is well presented and the portions only. the right size. I really enjoyed my caffe gourmande worth the euro supplement. we'd eat here in a way.

Le Saumon seems like a step back in time, as if it's menu was written several decades ago. The buffet offered as a starter contains such items as halved boiled eggs and a range of unimaginative salads. The main courses were basic OK, but...nothing more. In fairness, it is not expensive euros for three courses was good value. The wine was inexpensive. And the Normandy apple tarte and ice cream was very good.

Very well presented, excellent dishes and reasonably priced. Crime brûlée was excellent as was the steak

I was here a few times and always loved it. the hotel is comfortable and clean with a mix of old and new rooms, stay at the front of the hotel look at the city square, but they will bell the chirch in the night....A nice restaurant with typical French food and wine. service is relaxed. when the weather is beautiful, they sit on the terrace and eat again with views of the beautiful city square. the city is not too big with everything around the place or near approximately. a short walk brings her to the river, which is a nice opportunity to walk from the beautiful kitchen

The restaurant le saumon (the hotel part not tested) was exactly what we needed for a local holding place and taste in verneuil sur avre. the atmosphere is somewhat strict', so not too modern hip young, but eating in the plate was made...good and obviously made home, as all sauces jus and dishes had the brand of fresh (fresh crust, etc. did not come out of a plastic pot from a super market. I really enjoyed my calf head dish (tete de veau). as it was moist, tender and tasty. good choice of wine and local drinks ciders etc.
