Burrito Express - Vernon Hills

I’ve eaten here multiple times and have never been disappointed. A few years ago, I used to come for lunch from work and fell in love with the food. I remember the super king burrito being massive, but on my most recent visit, it seemed smaller than I remembered. I also noticed that the prices have gone up, but I understand it's likely due to the pandemic and the struggles of the economy. Despite these changes, the food remains fantastic and just as delicious as I remember. The horchata is incredibly refreshing, and I could easily drink it all day. The service was quick and attentive, making it a great choice for an authentic restaurant near the business district of Vernon Hills.

Upon entering, I was greeted by delightful aromas that made me even hungrier, prompting me to place my order right away. The menu offered a variety of appealing options at fair prices. I decided on the King Steak Burrito and some Quesadillas, and to my surprise, my food arrived just minutes later. The service here is impressively quick, and my meal was served hot. The King Burrito was enormous, living up to its name, and the Quesadilla was quite substantial as well. In terms of flavor, everything was absolutely on point. The steak and all the fresh ingredients in the burrito melted in my mouth, creating a delicious combination that I thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend this restaurant, not only for its fantastic food but also for several additional reasons: it boasts a great location with ample parking, has a wonderful ambiance, offers reasonable prices, and delivers exceptional service. This place is definitely worth a visit!

Vernon Hills King Burrito was delicious, but the chicken was a little dry in the chicken stable. The chorizo tacos were also a little dry. Portion size is very generous.

Traveling from Houston, TX we were craving some breakfast tacos and stumbled upon this hidden Gem! Great authentic Mexican food. We had the chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, and kiddos were able to split and share the King Breakfast burrito! Super delicious and tasty. Green salsa is the way to go! They have the menu with huge print on the entry wall, make a selection, and its counter service. Prices were great for the portions and they have Jarritos, if you don't know, well then you gotta have the grapefruit and tamarindo ones with breakfast. Trust you'll enjoy!

Definitely worth a stop. The burrito was absolutely delicious. It was incredibly crowded, but I was there at noon time. There is a reason it was crowded, too. Obviously it's because the food is good and reasonably priced. It's a fast food type restaurant with some tables, but the food is made when its ordered and doesn't sit on some hot plate.
