China Wok - Vernon

Now called China Wok We were apprehensive but it was a delightful surprise It's a clean older restaurant and had a very attentive server.

Delicious food. Dim sum buffets on weekends are fresh and authentic. Taste better than Chinese restaurants in Vancouver. Weekend all you can eat dim sum buffet is only $14.95/person. You can't go wrong with that price. Absolutely delicious. Lunch specials are only $8.95 for 3 items. The portions are large and I always take home the left overs. Service is amazing. You gotta try this place out

They have Dim Sum buffet Only on Saturdays and Sundays open at 11:30am-2:30pm. We are from Richmond BC where are full of Chinese restaurants.We were hungry for authentic Chinese food.We did not expect much from little town Chinese restaurant.However, all of us loved their buffet style Dim Sum.Not only the taste was great, but the selection of Dim Sum and food were surprising.I think there were over 30 kinds of dim sum and hot food along with salad, fruits, and ice cream.Food brought out consistently, so they were always fresh.All this for $14.00 per adult.

It just keeps getting better and better, seems every week there is something new and exciting added. It's pretty much impossible to get to all my favorites in just one visit, as after two plates full I'm stuffed... :-)

Being new to Vernon, I have been on the quest for good Chinese food. Before finding China Wok I tried Asian Avenue, Apple Lane, and the Rice Box. Each of these places I found to be average at best. My main complaint is that the breading on items like Ginger Beef and Sweet and Sour pork was not crispy, instead kind of soggy. Lack of crispiness is a major one of my pet peeves with Chinese food. China Wok however serves nice crispy breaded items. Also the sauces at China Wok are much more flavor full than other restaurants. The young girl that is usually working when I order is polite and efficient. The combo dinners for 1 are a good value and allow more choices than most of the competitors, including ginger beef. So far this place is by far the best Chinese I have found in Vernon.
