I still find it worth the visit every time I am in town. I have yet to find a restaurant quite like this anywhere else. When my friends or family ask me to describe it, I tell them imagine the Keg, but better, and without those ridiculous Keg prices or line ups. Deserts are still top notch, and you can tell they are either made in restaurant or locally sourced. None of those generic food service deserts other places may serve.
Me and my boyfriend went for our anniversary and we got steak. The steak was amazing, perfectly cooked and tasted great. Our waitress was a medium height, browny orangy hair, and provided excellent service! Awesome place, we will definitely be back!
Not bad at all. Visiting from Australia I dropped in for a feed with the boys from Kal Tire. The food was superb, the service... maybe it's a little slow but there was 15 of us, and the quality of food certainly out weighed the wait.<br/ <br/ The service was good... just not fast... who cares right : <br/ <br/ I would be back for sure
Very good. We went here for the 1st time because I won a voucher, I had heard good things but also that it was expensive.<br/ <br/ Since we had a voucher we decided to go all out and order whatever we wanted.<br/ <br/ I had a 6oz sirloin with seafood oscar (mixed seafood in a cream sauce on top of the steak) with the Lobster bisque and tomato salad as sides. The steak was cooked beautifully and was tender and delicious as was the seafood topping, the bisque was delicious but I was expecting pieces of lobster in it and there was none, it was blended smooth and was missing texture, but the flavour was fantastic. The tomato salad was good, with goat cheese red onion and a balsamic type dressing, but was served as thick tomatoe slices in a little bowl which made it very difficult to cut and eat.<br/ <br/ My Fiance had the 8oz lamb sirloin with the bisque and yam fries. He really enjoyed the lamb although I found it to be a little boring for my tastes but his yam fries were amazing! crispy and hot and the aioli they served with it was really good.<br/ <br/ We had escargot as an appie which was delicious but nothing special...I have rarely had bad escargot as its hard to mess it up when coated in garlic butter and cheese!<br/ <br/ I had the desert trio afterwards, the cheesecake was rich and creamy and delicious(and I normally dont like cheesecake). The tripple chocolate brownie was cheewy and chocolatey but when I ran out of vanilla icecream to help make it smooth I found it was too thick by itself and didnt finish it. The expresso icecream cake with oreo crust was also delicious and my favourite of the three with bright bold expresso flavour! <br/ <br/ All in all we will definately go back, but only on special occasions as it is too expensive to just drop in for a steak any old time. One appy, one 1/2L house red, 2 entrees and one desert came to just over $100. <br/ <br/ The atmosphere was also really nice and the service was also quite good.
I had heard mixed reviews and we decided to try it for New Years Eve. We did have a larger party so of course I don't mind being patient however the service was not good. I had to ask for a glass of water 3 times and finally hunted down the waitress behind the bar for it. It took over 1.5 hours for our dinner to come. When it did my meal was good (rib eye steak) but my fiancee had the lobster which was more like a crayfish!! Very very small and for almost $30 it was not worth it. The atmosphere was beautiful though.
