Sonny's Bbq - Vero Beach

I have lived in Vero Beach my entire life and remember when Sonny's first opened here. It used to be delicious, but now the quality of the food is subpar. They used to serve fresh corn on the cob, but now it's cheap, canned corn. The meals are consistently lukewarm, and when you order for pick-up, they often forget something. Spending almost $80 for a meal for my family, I expect to receive everything I paid for. It's a shame that the quality of their food has declined. Save your money and visit a better BBQ restaurant instead. The new side dish, dirty rice, is not worth it – it's just minute rice with a few pieces of corn and diced pork. The cornbread has shrunk in size, and they no longer include two pieces of garlic bread with your meal. I usually don't like to complain, but I felt it was important for others to know.

I hadn't been to a Sonny's in about 20 years, but decided to visit with my girlfriend for her birthday while we were in Vero Beach. She was in the mood for barbecue, so we walked in and were immediately greeted by a friendly host. Our server, Dawn, was hilarious, helpful, and efficient. The service was some of the best we've had in a long time. The food was just as delicious as I remembered. I had the St. Louis ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken wings, baked beans, and coleslaw for lunch, all of which were outstanding. My girlfriend had the baby back ribs, which were a little dry, but everything else was truly delicious. Although it wasn't what I had initially planned for my friend's birthday lunch, Sonny's exceeded my expectations. Thank you to Sonny's, Dawn, our host, and the chef for making our experience so enjoyable. We will definitely be back for more barbecue in the future.

Sonny's is a top choice for my wife and me when it comes to dining out. The BBQ Pulled Pork Eggrolls are a standout dish, and we always enjoy the sampler or the option to choose our own combo of 2 or 3 meats. My personal favorites are the sliced brisket, ribs, and pulled pork, especially when paired with a side of fries, baked beans, and cornbread. Our waitress, Emily, provided excellent and friendly service, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Thank you, Emily!

Delicious food awesome service great atmosphere. The drive-through was on time. Also just all-around a good place to eat. Clean and delicious.

This is the second time I went to the drive-through and didn’t get the correct order. I ordered two sandwiches on a bun and they came on greasy toast. One of the sandwiches the meat was all dried up and had no flavor. Had to throw the sandwiches in the garbage. I tried calling the store they didn’t even answer they just immediately put me on hold, with no greeting whatsoever awful awful never going there again!
