It was kind of late as we had been touring around for the day but we didn't think it to be a problem given the later dining style in Europe.Food and service were very good, value was good. we were the last ones there at 9:30 pm and they were cashing out. no sense of rushing by staff, but it was clearly time to leave. This isn't a deterrent, just a heads' up.
Small french restaurant. Very hard bread rolls, although other guests were given nice bread. No cheese. Over priced.
Came in for dinner. The reception, attention and care the staff showed was exemplary. However the meals (we all chose a different entrée) were only good but not much else...The fish and meat cuts were correct but there was no fantasy in the preparation and frankly they were fashionably skimpy. The dishes on the "Day's Menu" were better but in the end we paid on average 25€ per main dish with the certitude that there were other restaurants in Versailles where we would have eaten better and possibly paid less.Don't rule this restaurant out. I only write this evaluation to try to let the management know that a little more effort in the kitchen may be necessary. Bon appétit
Four of us called in here for lunch, having visited the Chateau. It was very busy and the seating can be tight. However, we were given a warm welcome by an attentive waiter who was friendly and professional without being intrusive. Very much the architypal French brasserie ambience. Good choice of food. Two of us ordered French onion soup for starter and one had a tartare of salmon. Our other diner had a seafood platter for both courses. The three of us then had stir-fried squid which was delicious. Wine was wonderfully chilled. Excellent meal.
A lovely restaurant, nicely decorated and close together tables creating a good ambiance. The service from the moment we entered until the moment we left was prompt, friendly and helpful. I enjoyed all 3 courses, as did my family. A first visit for us but definitely not our last. The best brasserie we have been to in Versailles.
