Bistro V - Vestavia Hills

The food is usually very good but it wasn’t up to par last night. The ambience is ok if you’re sitting at the bar or in the bar area but if you’re in the main dining room it’s like a cafeteria and in desperate need of updating. The service at the bar is always great , drinks were great, dessert was great but our entrees were not so last night for some reason. I was disappointed especially since I was with a friend who had never eaten there before.

Small restaurant in a strip mall. Unbelievable find! Great menu (mostly fish), great service and very caring and sincere wait staff. Best fish dinner for years!!!

The suppe that was a fish bisque was fabulous. the escaped s were a chaos of too much sauce (remoulade drown crabcake) and a fungus ravioli dish that was crushed in all kinds of sauce and cheese and asparagus bites that they could not really say it was mushrooms in the pasta. the service was very good and our experience with this place tells me that this was just a few after.

Our waiter was excellent! very patient with the four of us who asked many. excellent meals; flotting time, short naval meal and lobster ravioli. I know because I tried them all. we wanted to try out so many of the selections, but soon we will be back to do exactly that! thank you! (we sat from the kitchen bar and it was quite loud as the kitchen tw was. I noticed a customer at the bar mentioned it and a waitress turned it off.

Great food and service. they love this place highly recommended.
