Cocktails 101 - Vicksburg

Hey everyone! I just want to share that Cocktails 101 is a hidden gem. This place is truly fantastic! I especially enjoyed the Four Wisemen whiskey drink and the Washington Apple drink. As for the meal, it was outstanding. I had the Chicken Alfredo, which came in generous portions and was absolutely wonderful. My wife ordered the 12oz ribeye steak with baked potatoes and asparagus, and it was incredibly tender and delicious. You’re guaranteed to have a great meal in a fantastic atmosphere!

This restaurant is very clean and has an impressive selection of cocktails. The Washington Apple and the Four Wisemen drinks were delightful. The chicken quesadillas were flavorful, as was the chicken pasta. If you're on Washington Street in Vicksburg, this place is definitely worth checking out.

The restaurant has an appealing atmosphere, but I was somewhat disappointed with the entrée I selected. The chicken was a bit dry, and I think it would have been much better if there had been a drizzle of the sauce over the jasmine rice to complement the fresh asparagus. On a positive note, I enjoyed a delicious mini lemon cheesecake to finish off the meal.

The service is just painfully slow. The wait staff walked by us at least a dozen times without noticing empty glasses. Another table had to walk up to the bar to request a bill and a third couple sat for a good 15 to 20 minutes without a drink. There were only 5 tables with diners. One would think they could have handled that with 4 staff working front of the house.

Used microwave to reheat some foods. I had good point of view from where I was sitting, and the only thing that was hot when my food got my food was the rice. Chicken, asphrgras and the hot bread was luke warm. Ordered a double Jack Daniels took a long time to get, ordered it then ten minutes later two guys sit at the bar and ordered mixed drinks and they got them way before I got my drink. Not a great experience.
