Shoney's - Vicksburg

Marilyn provided excellent service during my visit at 12:45. The buffet was enjoyable, with the okra and tomatoes always being a highlight. The steamed cabbage was decent, and the pinto beans were alright. The corn on the cob was very tasty, while the potatoes were good but a bit salty. For dessert, I had roasted chicken, which I always look forward to. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

The food was hot and fresh. It was also tasteful. Even the cold salads were good. The fruit was also fresh. My only suggestion is to improve lighting in the restaurant and ensure that all stands and Windows are cleaned during the downtime. But if crumbs and fingerprints don't bother you... this place is a good BUFFET option on the early side of the lunch brush.

On the day of our visit, the lights were out, but my companions wanted to stay, so we decided to stick around. I'm really glad we did, as the waitress and the staff made our experience enjoyable despite the power outage. The atmosphere was cozy, and the fried chicken was particularly delicious. The sweet tea was the perfect complement to the chicken as well. My only suggestion would be for them to include more variety on the buffet line. Overall, it was a great experience.
