Grosvenor Hotel - VICTOR HARBOR

My god, what a horrible place this isWe decided to have lunch here because we saw a sign that said 'Beer Garden at the back'.

We (2 adults and teenager) went to the Grosvenor for dinner on a Wednesday night as it was very close to our hotel. Seemed like a classic pub which was what we were after. It was not a busy night (half the tables empty) yet we waited for 50 minutes for our three dishes to arrive - not helped by the fact that the table next to us was served their meals before us even though they arrived well after us. Not happy by the time our meals arrived (at the same time so that was good) but all the meals ( chicken parmigiana, beef snitzel and chicken with bacon and avocado) where very good - both presentation and taste.

This hotel has great food and more important a salad bar!! Fod has always been good. Went there last night and 6 of us ordered seafod platter by 3. More than a meal for two and SO delicious. Wine selection is god and salad bar/hot vegies choices are good. Will return agsin for many meals. All 6 of us agreed such good food and value for money

The Grosvenor continues to perform. Our second visit to Victor Harbor and The Grovenor une the last year and another delightful experience.Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff once again which was maintained throughout the night.My wife ordered Grosvenor Chicken Breast and I had fish...both were delicious. My wife enjoyed hers so much she insisted we return the following night. I had steak.Very pleasant place to dine with a mixture of locals and visitors.

I hope this is only a hick up because I was starting to get comfortable with being a regular customer
