Thank you, we'll be back.
Azuma used to be one of my favourites. the service and quality have gone so far downhill, I will never return. the California roll roch so fish that we couldn't eat them. the salate was muddy and the steak sauce. was thick and swirling. it also tastes as if the deep frige oil for one because had not changed.
I ruled this place a few years back when he was a smaller one. have loved her eating. I stopped going because the quality of food and service went after their expansion. I decided to give it another chance. came to lunch with the fam and this must be some of the worst I had ever eaten here. miso suppe is super salty, sushi roll are tasteless and the rice is cold as it was kept in a refrigerator, prawn tempura was soggy, chicken carage was a little pink on the inside. just terrible. no service, which is not even checked for us if we like to eat. even her menu falls apart. mall food would have been a better option and would have been cheaper.
Do not know about other things, but don't order the midday Bento Box Teriyaki bark was not what it should have been! that was gummy. we couldn't eat it.
I have been eating at azuma for literally 20 years. It’s always been my favourite sushi spot, despite what other people have told me. I would say on average, I go here at least twice a week. I have my favourite servers, and we know...each other by name. They are lovely and very hard workers. However, after last weeks visit I am disturbed. Upon arriving we were greeted by the manager YELLING at a female employee in the kitchen. I immediately complained to my server that this was completely unacceptable and we were moved to a different table (not my point). What kind of management screams at their staff, especially during dinner service when the entire restaurant is able to hear?! I’ll mention here, that I am also a restaurant manager and have been for 12 years. This is not how you treat staff. I have called three times and been told the manager is not in and they don’t know when he’ll be available. I go in for lunch, dinner, late snack, and the manager is ALWAYS IN! So disappointed because I can’t support a restaurant where staff is treated that way. Employee labour must be contacted.
