Christie's Carriage House Pub

First time visiting here, it was a very nice experience with a nice environment, I had a salad with no meat, 2 Alcoholic drinks came to just over 40 dollars with Tip. ?

Been going to Christie 's for over 10 years. Never had a negative thing to say about the establishment until dealing with one of their wait staff named Emma. She felt it was appropriate to interject herself into a customers conversation, be very opinionated, insulting and unprofessional. I had a conversation with the owner of the establishment to let my displeasure be known. I was told this is not the first time that this behavior has been experienced by patrons, that she has had several complaints. IMHO this is someone that should not be serving at such a well known and established landmark as Christie 's. She is NOT a professional and I question my thoughts to spending any more of my hard earned money there while she is employed.July 6th follow up- Went to Christie 's today to sit and have a pint. Was brought outside by the bartender(great guy)and was shown my review on paper. He regrettably advised me that I would no longer be welcome at Christie 's because of my review, that the server is one of us. After over 10 years and thousands of dollars spent this is how a loyal customer and a negative review is dealt with. I am very disappointed that instead of speaking with the server and addressing my concerns and her behavior, the solution is to punish the customer and protect the server. When people are not held accountable for their bad behavior, the bad behavior is condoned and will continue.I am thinking this is actually for the best. If I and my loyal patronage are not respected and appreciated it is only right that I take my business elsewhere. I wish the best to all the bar staff and good wait staff at Christie 's and take many fond memories and good times with me.

Went as part of a large group of about 12 people. We were able to make a reservation that same day (on a Tuesday). I only ordered the chicken bowl, no drinks. Had enough to take home for a second meal. Overall nice atmosphere, great place to socialize and catch up.

Have eaten here over the years, the food seems to have gone way downhill. We just ordered a burger to go, and the burger patty itself was like a thin, hard, dry brick. The bun and toppings were good and fresh, but I certainly haven't had a patty this nasty in years. For a $23 burger, I'm very disappointed. Probably won't be ordering takeout here again.

I have been coming here pretty regularly for 3 years and semi regularly for 23 years.Great atmosphere, very good food and absolutely amazing staff.I particularly enjoy the Clubhouse and the Halifax Donair with sweet sauceEveryone goes above and beyond every time , especially when I pop in with my 6 year old daughter who likes to “twirl with my ballerina friend”An amazing community, especially on Sunday kitchen party jam nights.Thanks for all that you do!
