Liberty Cafe & Deli - Victoria

Excellent customer service - Deli roll sandwiches were yummy! Staff made my hubby's San special due to allergies. Very nice place!

Towards the end of our day in Victoria we were looking for a snack and coffee before returning to Vancouver. At the rear of the Empress Hotel we came across Liberty. Very good toasted roast vegetable rolls and excellent coffee, all enjoyed in a comfortable ambience. Suitably refreshed we continued our journey and would be happy to call again.

The staff person was very polite and fast. She had to be fast because she was the only staff on duty. The cafe should have 2 staff on duty to enable them to take care of other tasks as well as serve customers. The washroom was out of paper towels, but nothing could be done at the time because there was only 1 staff and she was busy serving the other customers. I would give this cafe 5 stars except they were short staffed.

I can't say I enjoyed the coffee or breakfast rolls. The roll was bland and over microwaved. And the vanilla latte was unimpressive. I would recommend finding another coffee shop.

What a beautiful location ! Cafe has so much more to offer the only problem are those kids working here . I came here twice for coffee and amazing lemon loaf , not even once they say hi , they forgot to give me my coffee and they were way to busy talking to each other than taking my order , and sandwich I got for my lunch even tho I ask for warm up it was still cold . But .... Coffee was fresh and tasty , and lemon and coconut loaf was worth coming back for !
