Padella Italian Bistro - Victoria

Cute restaurant in the heart of Estevan VillageReally romantic setting with candles on each table and a dark rose red paint covering the walls.

I would give Padella's food a 4, but unfortunately, their service a 2 It seemed to be an off night for them.

Recently friends recommended Padella Kitchen and we had a spectacular meal for 4. We went with the Chef's Table menu which included a 5 course meal. It was amazing - in fact, some of the best food I'v had in my 10 years here in Victoria. The space is lovely and the chefs came out each course to tell us about their inspiration and where the local ingredients were from. The menu was interesting and the price was very reasonable for the service and quality. If you're visiting or local, this one place you must visit.

I previously gave this restaurant 5/5. I was so impressed after my first visit, I chose Padella to celebrate my birthday. I was really disappointed by my second visit.We were in the first dining room and it would get a cold gust of air every time the door opened... and we weren't particularly close to the door. At one point someone was standing in the doorway chatting and it was uncomfortably cold. On top of that the waitress was downright rude. She had an attitude and it just felt like we were inconveniencing her by being there. My stepdad said loudly that it was my birthday and she didn't even acknowledge it or say happy birthday. Food was okay but not 5 stars like the first time... maybe 3/5. I had the pork tenderloin which was cooked perfectly but I didn't care for the spices or the carrot-date salad side. Honestly, I'll probably go again but I would be hesitant to recommend the restaurant to family or friends because of this negative experience. And I would definitely avoid that waitress!
