We had a great experience at this charming ramen restaurant. The friendly staff provided quick service at reasonable prices. The flavorful broth was not too salty and the noodles had the perfect texture. The homemade kimchi was a standout dish for me, so much so that I purchased some to enjoy at home from Root Cellar. It's definitely worth a try.

I ordered ‘Spicy pork and chive dumplings (the picture attached)’ for my friend, and he enjoyed it. Thank you for making us happy! I have tried their dishes several times. I enjoyed their sauces, Kimchi, the Kimchi rice bowl, and dumplings etc (I am from Korea. I love their Kimchi haha) They are so GOOD. I would definitely order their dishes again for myself and my friends. Plus, their staff are so kind and lovely. My friend got their thank-you message. I want to THANK the friendly staff

My family and I like to order Stubborn Chef Express’ frozen wontons and dumplings, ginger dressing and kimchi and have them delivered to our home. The pork and chive and pork and cabbage dumplings are delicious. We like to steam and then panfry them. The ginger dressing pairs perfectly with the dumplings as a dipping sauce. We also like to use the dressing to marinate meatloaf because it gives it a richer flavour. When we first ordered the wontons with the free soup base, we found both too salty. Our next order was just right, but we did ask them to not include the soup base because we prefer to use our own chicken broth. Their kimchi is the best we’ve ever had. It has a great flavour and is just the right amount of spice for our palate. We ordered a 454g container the first time, but went through it so fast that we now get the 1.2kg! We visited their storefront recently and were kindly offered samples of their chili oil and steak sauce. They were so good! We’ll definitely pick up a bottle of each next time. Not only is Stubborn Chef’s food handcrafted with love, you can also experience this in their service right down to the details. I love the cute handwriting on their delivery packaging that gives it a warm, personal touch.

What sets this place apart is the steaming bowl of culinary greatness they serve. The combination of individual ingredients, textures, and flavors, along with the irresistible aroma, makes every bite a pleasure. Eating here is a unique experience, as you alternate between using chopsticks to pick out pieces and a spoon to savor the flavorful broth. There may be some not-so-sexy slurping and intricate maneuvers involved, but it's all part of the fun. The restaurant is small and has a minimalist kitchen, but the young, cheerful staff works together to create fantastic meals. It's all about the quality of ingredients here, and in my opinion, they are doing an excellent job. Overall, this place offers a dining experience that is hard to beat.
