Rooms are from the 80s. Not retro, ACTUALLY 40 years old. Falling apart. Old, saggy beds. Window coverings busted. Skylights in bedrooms with no coverings. No AC. No parking AT ALL.Only good thing was the hostess and location.Fine if it was 40% cheaper.Rooms: Very old and dated. HOT. No ACWalkability: Just at the start of the busy downtown. Convenient.Food drinks: Overpriced. Wouldn't allow us to order our Happy Hour burger to take back to our room.
Great location and very spacious, clean rooms. A number of small annoyances like issues with the TV and excessive heat in the rooms (the hallways were nice and cool, but opening the door to the room was like walking into a sauna . I'd like to see small updates made to the place it's historical, but it's in some ways falling apart (holes in the walls, rips in the carpet, the smell behind the couch in our room... .
Always a good stay, staff work hard to try and accommodate requests and definitely one of the best locations in Victoria. The loft rooms give that awesome boutique hotel feeling. Our favorite place to stay in Vic. ???Rooms: Love the rooms, the boutique feeling and fit n finish throughout are a pleasant change from modern monochromatic decor. Stay in an historic place right downtown Victoria Nearby activities: Walk Chinatown, get into every little shop and discover what you didn’t need but must have…Walkability: Safe, pleasant atmosphere in early eveningsLots to see on the touristy walk-a-bout past the harbor and the few Irish pubs and street entertainmentFood drinks: Lots of great choices nearby… Cafe Mexico ?? is a def must go restaurant!Gettin’ Beer downstairs in the pub is always a fun and energetic atmosphere.
We were here for a wedding, and it was a perfect venue setup! We were just a few doors down from the party, and super impressed at how contained the sound was (our toddler slept through it all) Loft suite is super spacious with a full kitchen which is great. It’s an older building so what it lacks in modern hotel details like outlets near the bed, toiletries/amenities, up to date bathroom and furniture, it makes up for in character!Rooms: We had a loft suite which was a great size and layout, gorgeous view of the harbour! The kitchen was well equipped, but a few other things were dated and in need of repair.Walkability: Amazing location, easy to walk pretty much anywhere downtownNoteworthy details: Not the most accessible building! Front lobby/entrance was tricky with a stroller, no ramps to access elevator.
