The Denman Taphouse - Victoria

I went to this restaurant for dinner one evening and enjoyed the atmosphere as it was busy and had a nice feel to it. The staff were friendly. The only problem we had was that our food order got lost, causing a delay in receiving our meal. However, we didn't mind as we were informed about the issue and were compensated with a 25% discount off our food bill for the inconvenience.

Spent an evening at this pub drinking pitchers and watching hockey with my husband while on vacation. Nice atmosphere .excellent views of the water and the statues below. The service was great and the wings were also very tasty. They didn't have any more jalapeno poppers, which was disappointing. We also got some chicken tacos, they were good. Overall, great experience.

Honestly everything is summarized in the title. I was visiting my fiancé in Vancouver while she was on an elective in peds. Stayed off Denman and was craving a nice pub, The Denman Taphouse fit the bill 100%. Great selection of beer, beautiful view of English bay amazing service and staff. If you're in Vancouver this is a must visit pub.

The service is spectacular and the food is nearly consistently great. The servers from Chloe, Mark, Trish is great and friendly

This place would get a much better review if I did not have to include the beautiful but very aloof to the point of being rude bartender. Friends and I have left because of her horrible service skills a couple times now, but we enjoy the place more now that we sit elsewhere. The view on the patio is stunning; a great spot for people watching and getting some sun. The food is not bad at all; the wings are awesome and the house salad is filling and tasty. Nachos are good as well. The turnover in staff is fast and furious, but most of them are pretty (and) cool.They don't have beer specials, but their beer prices are already very reasonable as compared to similar Vancouver spots. I think a pint of Guinness is only $5.75. Hard to beat that!My ratings will not reflect the bar service, or lack thereof.
