There are only a few vegetarian options available, including two vegan dishes. The grilled cactus we tried was excellent. The service was exceptionally friendly and quick, even though we didn't have a reservation. There is a great selection of wines, and the overall dining experience felt more upscale. Despite the limited menu options, we had a great experience. The menu seems to change regularly and was different from the one on the website. It's definitely worth a try, with mains priced around 10€.
This charming bistro is tucked away on a side street. The staff were wonderful, the atmosphere was lovely, and the food was delicious. The menu is on the smaller side, with only one vegan starter and main option available. There were no dessert options listed, but they may have been willing to accommodate a request.
We struggled to find anywhere to eat in Gozo that offered good vegan options. With many places specialising in seafood or offering a pizza without cheese we were pleased to try this place which was recommended by our hotel reception. I understand the receptionist spoke with a local vegetarian friend who provided a list for us. The bistro has a couple of dining rooms downstairs and we understand that wine tasting and taster menus are offered upstairs. The waiting staff appeared to care about the restaurant and it was clean and comfortable inside. We were presented with some home made bread which was delicious a heavy rye and seed based bread served with some olive tapenade. I then had the falafal which were again homemade, followed by gluten free tomato based pasta. There is vegan sorbet to follow if you have room! We had a bottle of Maltese wine which we were pleased to find was also vegan. Family of 4 3 starters, 4 mains, a couple of desserts, wine and water came to just over 100 Euros Do try this place, you won’t be disappointed.
Beautiful atmosphere, overall a good place to eat, but they had only a vegan option. the friicassee was beautiful, but very much a plate full of vegetables, although well prepared.
