Mi Tierra is open 24/7 and you can have breakfast all day. The food is very good, the service friendly ...but wait...you must visit the Bakery in the Foyer! Wow, they have so many choices of bakery goods. We love to choose a few to enjoy at our hotel in the evening.
Kitschy but authentic Mexican restaurant and bakery; a great place to eat at the Market in San Antonio. It was the best value for us all weekend. The michelada was outstanding, the salsa is fantastic, and the food came out piping hot. Added bonus, we were treated to a mariachi who sang las mañanitas for my daughter’s birthday. After the outstanding meal we picked up some delicious treats from the bakery to take home. Standard panadería fare: conchas, empanadas, buñuelos, and also some fancy pastries. Atmosphere was fun and festive and the food is a great value especially for the location.
We stopped by on a Saturday around lunch time. We had to wait about an hour, but we were able to roam around the market while we waited. The food was delicious with a lot of options available. Their service was a little slow, but the restaurant was full. They make their own tortillas which is always a plus in my book. *Pro tip: your waitress can get pastries for you so you can avoid having to wait In that line. Trust me, do this because that line is VERY slow.
The food was good not great Mexican but the atmosphere made up for it. The murals on the walls are amazing. Our server was also great.
