Contribuisci feedbackTLDR: solid quiet local spot for Thai food, reasonable pricing, good flavor texture variety They start you with some edamame for free to munch on while you order. We got papaya salad, which tasted very fresh and had good texture and crunch. Then we had chicken pad Thai and drunken noodles with tofu, which had good spice and a lot of heterogeneity when it came to taste and texture. The noodles were cooked nicely, and they layer their dishes with different elements like peanuts, fresh produce (tomatoes, cilantro, bean sprouts), and your proteins. Service was nice too, food came out at a reasonable time. The selection of beers were also interesting, would definitely like to try out next time.
This is the best Thai food I've had in a long time. Beautiful and clean inside restaurant, super polite and awesome staff. More than reasonable portions. And the food is just to die for. Let me start by saying Thai food is my absolute favorite. However, since moving to Virginia we have struggled to find really good Thai food. We found one place that was very good, but they were recently sold and the new food was not as good nor as fresh. So we began our search again. After trying 4 other Thai restaurants in the Vienna area, we finally found a winner. Kob Kun Fine Thai cuisine is hands down the best Thai food I've had in NOVA. I ordered the Nua Nam Tok (beef salad) and Tom Yum soup, which is my standard order when trying a new Thai restaurant. Both were outstandng. The salad ingredients were clearly very fresh and the perfect blend of citrus lime and spiciness. The soup was extraordinary as well. Portions were perfect size for healthy living, and I saved half of each for lunch the next day. The only downside was that it was a bit of a wait at 20 minutes for carry-out. But to be honest, I had searched years to find Thai food this good again, so to me it was undoubtedly worth it. I can't wait to go back and try the Panang Curry, chili basil eggplant, and everything else on their menu.
Kob Kun is hands down the best in NOVA. I have tried 5+ Thai restaurants in the area and I always come back here. (It is a problem I probably order 1x a week) but the green curry, the pad thai, the spring rolls, the drunken noodles, and tom kha are always delicious. The food has so much flavor and the spice level is so customizable which is perfect! The staff is so kind and I truly love the whole experience. Definitely recommend! Vegetarian options: So many veggie options! Love the food so much!
I ordered lamp chops and noodles to go. Asked the lady about if the lamp chops could be made not spicy, she said yes not spicy. Also requested noodles not spicy. Both dishes when I got home were super spicy to eat. Threw dish out. Waste of money. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
