The menu was a bit challenging to navigate in Lao, but I was able to use a language app to order. They offer a variety of beautiful vegetarian options that you can purchase at the front.
I had a delicious roasted rice and spicy sausage salad at this restaurant. It is easy to find from the street and the staff are very friendly.
Ordered and got a large bowl of noodles and tofu...bit thin on the vegetables and the cook apologized for it. Not sure that the restaurant has met many foreigners since the pandemic and it seemed surprised by my visit, but very welcoming. They were thrilled to emphasize it is a pure vegan, not veggie establishment.
Is it vegan?: The buffet food is vegan, but some packaged products sold include cow's milk. Location: The map position is correct, but easy to miss unless you are right in front of it. Price: Lunch is 25,000 kip. I had two plates, which was really good. Food: Good, simple, authentic local cuisine. Hours: I arrived at 11:40 and the restaurant was quite busy, with some of the food already cold. By 12:20, everyone had left and it seemed like they were ready to close for lunch. It may be best to arrive at 11 or earlier, as they start to wind down after 12:30. Takeout: You can get takeout, but you will need to bring your own container as they only provide single-use plastic and polystyrene.
