If you want to eat the best francesinha... with a large portion of fried potatoes soaked in the best francesinha sauce... this is the place... Excellent service, good food and good wine, for a reasonable price. During my...stay in Famalicão I left this restaurant for the last ones to visit and I really regretted it. I 'm not going to put a picture, I didn 't took it, I started eating and I didn 't do anything else until I finished.... It has parking and hotel next door. Do some good for your life and visit it.
Very authentic Português fare. Large space and unpretentious. Lots of food on your plate and it is delicioso! Warm welcome at the door and a lovely waitress Marguerite who speaks English very well and who really makes one feel welcome. The prices are reasonable also....Every patron there was speaking português I was so inspired by the food and wine that I even started to speak it a little bit as well ! . I left very satisfied and I hope you will give Barão a try. I have travelled all around the world seeking great food and I have found it here. -TB
We came here for dinner at a relatively early hour. Apart from those working there, there were no people yet. One of them was eating there with a child. The restaurant is decorated in a pleasantly simple way. We felt at home. Fortunately for us,...there was somebody who spoke English. We did not have to wait for long. The food was served in large quantities. The spaghetti with gambas was very nice, but could have had a little more taste. In general I like my food spicy, so maybe I should have asked for a spicy sauce? Two of us took hamburger in Francesinha style and one took a mini-Francesinha. Eventually we had to ask for something to take part of the food home. And it was very nice. The variety of drinks on offer was also great.
