Brilliant family-run porthouse, the team are very passionate about harbour! they get a harder sale to buy something than other places, but they want a buy because the harbour is so good.
Visited while looking at the big port house tours, at only €10 for 4 tastings and explanation was great value, nice setting and great atmosphere
We wandered in here after our tour at Taylor. After looking at the menu and making a decision Dima made a custom tasting menu for us with a cheese pairing. Price was disclosed up front. Great selection of ports and cheeses with a great explanation of what was in front of us. Selections were from across the spectrum of what was on offer. The wine and cheese was all excellent as was the hospitality. Really nice open space as well. There was some live music from upstairs that was from a talented singer. Terrific value for what we got. Wholeheartedly recommend stopping by here.
We discovered this wonderful, family run port house by accident and are very glad we did! I wanted to do a port tasting while visiting Porto, obviously! and whilst wandering the streets behind the main drag we found Quevedo. The staff were so very welcoming and the menu of tasting was very well explained. Ricardo was our port expert and was incredibly informative and answered all our questions. We did the white ,rose ,Ruby and Tawny port, then moved onto wines and finally gin! Luckily they also had snacks to help soak up the alcohol! The port was delicious and they ship to the UK, cost of shipping is worth it. When my order arrived the contents were not what I had ordered and my white port was missing!! I contacted Ricardo who sorted out the problem immediately and shipped 2 bottles to me and didn't charge me! If you are planning on doing a port tasting in Porto PLEASE PLEASE consider avoiding the larger port houses and visit Quevedo. You will not regret it..
