This old shabby place reminded me of the immortal quote from the League of Gentlemen: A local place for local people . Not for being unfriendly or chaotic, though it can seem so; it 's a genuine, delicious, unpretentious AND generous homemade food haven, with tons of grey haired early birds filling it up as soon as it opens. TLDR: be there 30 minutes before meal time starts to guarantee your table, as the phone is easily overwhelmed with the takeaway orders. If you 're looking for cosmopolitan gastropubs with deconstructed dishes and tip hungry servers, swipe left. I for one loved it, plan to return, and often if I 'm lucky.

Dei 3 estrelas à atmosfera fria porque a grande sala de jantar estava cheia, mas sem aquecimento, embora estivesse frio e chovendo. As doses são muito generosas!

The lemonade was nice. The codfish was OK taste was OK but texture was a bit weird , big portion but a little greasy! Overall service was good, ice cream is nice. 3 stars as fish wasn't as good as we hoped it would be.

You don’t get more authentic than this....proper Portuguese home cooking!! Get yourself a nice big glass of the house wine, watch the soccer and try to order a bit of everything off the menu...take your time and enjoy!! I can’t wait to go back.
