Arrived in Vila Real de Santo Antonio late afternoon after a meeting in Tavira. It reminded me of Miami in the 80s with the grid street system. It’s a lovely quiet safe place but not too hip to hungry vegans like us two. Ended up at Telepizza where the lovely guy told us about the vegan pizza option with 4 toppings to choose from. We ordered two large ones between the two of us ate them watching Portugal v Uruguay in the World Cup. I felt like I was in an Edward Hopper painting but the only vegan nighthawks were the two of us on the hunt for cruelty free grub. Intermarche supermarket is directly next door to Telepizza where vegans can pick up all sorts of fruit veg, nuts seeds, bread treats etc to take to one’s Hotel, camper van, Air B B etc The future is vegan Updated from previous review on 2022-11-30
