Excellent food. Good presentation. Desserts are highly recommended. A little bit expensive but keeping in mind the quality it is correct . Try the Montsant wines. I will back. Excelente comida. Buena presentacion y adecuada en los tiempos. LOs postres muy recomendables. El precio algo elevado pero correcto para género que ofrecen. Repetiría.

We have been looking for a restaurant to celebrate a birthday in our family. We have chosen Cal Mingo mainly due to it's proximity to our place and reviews in TripAdvisor. The restaurant opens at 20:30, which is a bit late for a family with a small kid, but still acceptable. We found the following: Location: very good, a restored old Macia in the outskirts of the city, near major road. Quiet, with its own garden and relatively separated from the rest Service: good. The young personnel (probably owner) knew well and explained all the options as well. The older waiter was a bit grumpy , but also knew his stuff. Food: very good: home made pate, fresh mushrooms and other local and seasonal dishes made this visit a worth of enjoying. The food was well prepared and served in smaller quantities, to taste, rather then fill the stomach. The dishes were not of unusual design, but rather good quality and presentation. Good food. Wine selection was also good. Price Value: Good Other note: the seat for our small child was not adequate. Finding an entrance to the restaurant is a bit challenge, the restaurant doesn't offer a bar for a drink, before opening hours.

Went to this place with a couple of colleagues. Very convenient as just down the road from their office. We shared starters which was the ham, tomato bread and omg the garlic mushrooms. real tasty. would have a plate of those again. Followed by Cod in garlic Not having cod in any other forms but battered this was a real eye opener. Real tasty and would thoroughly recommend. great place.

We arrived at 8.30 for an 8.30 booking, but the place was closed and shuttered. A few minutes later a man opened the door, but when we started to walk inside he stopped us with a curt no. So we waited until he opened the shutters, took tables outside, etc. About 8.50 we again went inside. The only word the waiter said to us in our entire visit was 'Dos? ' We were shown to a table in a corner beside open French doors. He promptly closed them. The air conditioner was blowing warm air. He threw two menus on the table, which only referred to the a la carte offering. We wanted to know about all inclusive menus so I tried to find the waiter, after waiting about ten minutes for him to return. There was no sign of him anywhere. So, without tasting a morsel of food, we left. I know Spaniards eat late, and we would be considered early, but I had email confirmation of my booking, and the sign on the door said 8.30. The unforgivable rudeness of this man was something I have never seen before in Spain.
